About JEE Exams
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is one of the most prestigious and competitive exams conducted in India for admissions into undergraduate engineering programs at top engineering colleges across the country. The JEE is divided into two main categories:
1. JEE Main: Conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), JEE Main is the first stage of the examination. It serves as the qualifying exam for admission to various undergraduate engineering programs at National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other centrally funded technical institutions. JEE Main is also the eligibility test for appearing in JEE Advanced.
2. JEE Advanced: Only those candidates who qualify JEE Main and meet the specified cut-off criteria are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. JEE Advanced is conducted by one of the IITs on a rotational basis. It is the gateway for admissions to the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and some other premier engineering institutes in India.
